About The RoleThis role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting applications running on the IBMi (iSeries AS/400) platform. You will work with SQL, Node.Js, RPG, RPGLE, and CL to optimize system performance, automate business processes, and develop integrations with external applications. You will collaborate closely with various business teams to deliver effective technical solutions that align with organizational needs.Location:Brantford, ON (100% on site)Salary:$75,000Full-Time | PermanentWhat You’ll DoApplication Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize applications on the IBMi platform using SQL, Node.Js, RPG, RPGLE, and CLDatabase Management: Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures (DB2, DDS, DDL) to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulationSystem Integration & Web Services: Design and develop RESTful APIs using JSON to integrate IBMi Power systems with external platformsDatabase Communication: Utilize Embedded SQL for secure and efficient data access, retrieval, and system communicationProcess Automation & Optimization: Work closely with business teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance productivity and operational efficiencyTechnical Analysis & Problem-Solving: Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions, while troubleshooting and debugging existing applications to resolve system issuesTesting & Deployment:
