About the Role The Company is seeking a VP Development to play a pivotal role in its mission to protect and restore the ocean and climate. The successful candidate will be responsible for three key outcomes: securing the supply of alkalinity feedstock, originating and closing carbon removal offtake agreements, and leading the development of the company’s next project.

This role demands a proven leader with a strong background in commercial, project development, or origination within physical-asset industries. The VP Development will work closely with the VP Projects, fostering a team-oriented relationship at the heart of the organization. The role is highly strategic, with a focus on converting supply opportunities into contracts,



managing buyer relationships, and leading the development of new projects, including site identification, permitting, and community engagement.

Candidates for the VP Development position should have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in relevant roles and a track record of negotiating and closing significant commercial agreements.

Experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships and familiarity with permitting and regulatory processes for industrial or coastal/marine projects are essential. A background in GHG accounting, carbon markets, or CDR is an asset. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, adaptable to different audiences, and demonstrate a genuine passion for climate change technologies and the protection of the environment.
