THOAR Mining provides a wide range of mining support and operational services, including project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and mining equipment operation.

We are currently seeking highly motivated, safety-focused Underground Mine Production Supervisors for a potash project with one of our clients at a mine site in Saskatchewan.

This position requires availability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts on a 5-5-4 Schedule .

Key Responsibilities Safely and efficiently lead day-to-day project activities supporting continuous rehabilitation operations.

Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training and qualification requirements.

Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within equipment design parameters.

Provide clear work direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure employees understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.

Address performance concerns and support employee development when required.

Mentor and develop team members, supporting career growth and long-term organizational success.

Facilitate effective communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.

Coordinate manpower, resources, and work activities to ensure safe and efficient contract operations.

Act as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance teams.

Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.





Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.

Review and authorize work permits in accordance with site requirements.

Qualifications Valid Underground Supervisor certification/ticket as required under Saskatchewan mining regulations.

Current First Aid/CPR certification.

Valid WHMIS and SCOT certifications.

Demonstrated commitment to secure work practices with an excellent safety record.

Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workplace.

Minimum of five (5) years of mining

Supervision experience , preferably in potash mining.

Proven ability to lead teams safely, effectively, and efficiently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments and contractors.

Demonstrated ability to lead crews while adapting to client operational requirements.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and process control software.

Experience using maintenance or work scheduling software.

Client Requirements Successful completion of a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
