Location: Vancouver, BC - Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
Pay: $50-55/hr.
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Core Skills: C# 4.0, ASP.NET 4.5

Role Description
Design and implement highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications and services.
Possess a thorough understanding of the product from both functional and technical perspectives.
Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, collaborating with business analysts to understand business requirements and assess the impact of changes on existing processes.
Design and implement application components, including coding, caching mechanisms, security and encryption, state management, error logging and debugging, scalability, development workplace configuration, testing, and code reviews.
Analyze complex problems, break them into manageable components, and translate solutions into efficient code.
Determine the most appropriate technical solutions based on project requirements.
Follow software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, coding standards, and development best practices.
Perform unit testing and system-level testing, and validate applications in controlled real-world environments before production deployment.
Document development tasks to support future troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements.




Identify and help mitigate technical, project, and schedule risks.
Contribute to project effort estimation and delivery planning.
Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, quality assurance teams, and business stakeholders.
Present recommendations for system improvements, including cost proposals.
Mentor and support junior team members.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including:

Administration
Additional Technical Skills
Experience developing secure web applications and implementing secure coding practices.
Experience using .NET diagnostic tools for application investigation and performance profiling.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, software design patterns, and design principles.
Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Experience working with a variety of technologies and development techniques.
Experience writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
