Job Description What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Digital Product within Wealth Management Canada's Strategy, Products, & Digital Investing team owns the digital product vision, long-term roadmap, and delivery execution for Royal Trust.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Wealth Solutions, you will lead digital strategy across product teams, internal technology and AI partners, vendors, and business stakeholders—ensuring Royal Trust’s digital capabilities are strategically aligned, scalable, and positioned for longevity within Wealth Management Canada.
You directly manage and develop a high-performing team of product owners, with accountability for both strategic direction and on-time, on-budget implementation. You bring solid technical expertise, demonstrated people leadership skills, and product management fluency.
What will you do? Digital Strategy & Roadmap Own the digital product vision and long-term roadmap for Royal Trust, emphasizing scalability and fit within Wealth Management Canada priorities
Identify and prioritize digital opportunities that enhance client, trust officer, and employee experiences
Lead build vs. buy analysis; translate technical complexity into clear recommendations
Explore AI-powered customer solutions and operational efficiencies in partnership with internal AI teams
Maintain and evolve the roadmap based on market feedback, business priorities, and technology advances
Team Leadership & Delivery Ownership Directly manage and develop a team of product owners/managers, responsible for hiring, performance management, and career development
Mentor direct reports on technology, digital best practices, AI capabilities, emerging technical trends, and strategic thinking
Drive execution of the digital roadmap across product teams and technical partners, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and quality standards
Establish and own success metrics, delivery timelines, release cycles, and continuous improvement in product management practices
Foster a culture that combines technical excellence with business acumen and customer-centric thinking
Stakeholder Partnership & Governance Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across product, technology, data, AI, vendor and business partners
Partner with internal Technology and AI teams to evaluate feasibility, integration, and implementation approaches
Facilitate alignment across competing priorities and influence outcomes without direct authority
Serve as trusted advisor to Royal Trust business leaders on digital capabilities, strategic implications, and delivery roadmaps
Support portfolio governance and investment planning
What do you need to succeed? 7+ years in product management, digital strategy, technology delivery, or systems architecture
Demonstrated people leadership with track record of directly managing teams
Deep technical background (software development, systems architecture, enterprise technology, or similar)
Strong product lifecycle, roadmap development, and stakeholder management expertise
Experience leading digital products and evaluating build vs. buy decisions
Proven ability to drive delivery execution and manage complex implementation timelines
Ability to influence across product, technology, and business teams
Excellent communication skills, particularly translating technical and strategic complexity for leadership
Strong professional judgment and ability to build trust in sensitive environments
Ability to learn new business domains quickly while maintaining technical fluency
Financial services, wealth management, or trust services experience is a plus

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs. Pay Range The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00
