Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Technology Compliance Specialist (5+ years) to support technology risk and compliance activities using control frameworks, cyber, cloud, and SDLC processes Duration: 12 months (high possibility of extension) Location: Downtown Toronto (4 days in office but actual is 2 days in office - Monday mandatory & the other adaptable).

During training, the expectations are to be on site often.

Seeking a Senior Technology Compliance Specialist to support risk and compliance activities across technology portfolios.

This role operates within the First Line of Defense and is responsible for managing control frameworks, driving issue remediation, and ensuring alignment to enterprise risk requirements and regulatory expectations.

Must Haves 4 to 6 years of experience in technology risk, compliance, or controls within financial services or a regulated environment Strong understanding of technology risk frameworks (operational risk, cyber, cloud, SDLC) Experience working with control frameworks and risk systems (e.g., GRCE or similar)



Proven ability to drive remediation and influence across multiple stakeholders Strong Excel and reporting skills (advance level) Nice to Have Experience in large banking / enterprise environments Exposure to AI governance, data risk, or emerging tech risk areas Experience with Service

Now or workflow tools Professional certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISSP) Responsibilities Manage technology risk and compliance frameworks (PRCs, control inventory, policy adherence) Lead end-to-end issue management lifecycle (identify, track, drive remediation to closure) Partner with technology teams to embed control and compliance requirements into processes and initiatives Maintain and update control libraries, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and evolving requirements Identify control gaps and drive improvements to strengthen risk posture Provide risk advisory support across areas such as cyber, cloud, data, and AI governance Produce risk and compliance reporting for senior stakeholders
