THE ROLE
The Naval Unit NPF Operations Advisor is responsible for providing operational oversight in the planning, coordination, and management of procurement for the CFB Halifax Naval Fleet. This role involves implementing and monitoring program-related policies and standard operating procedures, as well as facilitating the delivery of resources to support program objectives. The Operations Advisor will also be involved in the development of procurement strategies, compliance reviews, financial monitoring, and stakeholder liaison to ensure effective operational performance.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED




Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related discipline AND some years of experience in hospitality or a related field

AND

Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification

Certifications and/or courses related to the industry/portfolio, as required

Experience

In interpreting and applying policies, procedures and relevant legislation

In analysis and interpretation of financial statements and reports

In providing advice and guidance

In hospitality services

In procurement

In inventory management

In personnel administration

In planning and conducting presentations

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.

Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
