Position Summary
Position Title: Class 1 Driver - Local

Location (Start Point): Edmonton, AB

Delivery Area: Edmonton and surrounding area

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule: Variable Shifts – no defined schedule

Start Time: Variable

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to join our growing transportation team. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in their work, consistently deliver high-quality service, and can operate safely and professionally in a quick-paced environment while representing the company.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across local routes or regional lanes in Alberta

Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Edmonton in a safe, timely, and professional manner

Operate flatbed equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards

Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.

Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports

Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures

Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands,



including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements (All Driver Roles)

Valid Class 1 driver's license

Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada

Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract

Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past year)

Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement

Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions

Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required

Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach

Minimum 1year of verifiable Class 1

Previous experience operating specialized equipment, including tailgates, forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks, or Moffett's

Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
