Wood is recruiting for Journeyperson Scaffolders Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis.

As a Journeyperson Scaffolder, you willplan, erect, build,maintain and repair temporary work structures and platforms to provide workers with secure and secure access to the job face.

You will also be constructing, fabricating, erecting and repairing permanent and temporary structures on the worksite by using power tools, rigging equipment,and hand tools.

This role will be responsible for planning and executingscaffolding activitiesin accordance with drawings and specifications, whileworking at heights, as well as noisy conditions which may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.

Physical Requirements Must pass a site-specific drug and alcohol test and CAPP Medical as required by the customer Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above Able to move and work in confined spaces, following proper protocol May be required consistently to work 12-hour shifts performing physical labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions.

May be required to work overtime on occasion Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework, utilizing proper fall arrest procedures when required.

Able to safely and comfortably work at heights without posing a danger to oneself or others Able to meet physical requirements of frequent walking, climbing, standing, bending, twisting and crawling for the duration of the shift undefined
