CFO Evolution Quality and Engagement Officer We are looking for a highly organised and conscientious individual to join our Justice Quality Improvement team as a CFO Evolution Quality and Engagement Officer within The Growth Company''s Central Support function.
This is an opportunity to join a supportive team working on the CFO Evolution contract, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to deliver support to people in prison and on probation across Yorkshire and Humber.
The role sits at the operational heart of the contract, keeping participant retention, risk and quality data accurate and current so that nothing that matters slips through the net.
The core focus of the role is administrative: monitoring retention and risk trackers, contacting participants who have disengaged, administering Outcome Star reviews and participant feedback, and keeping CATS and internal systems up to date.
You will work closely with delivery staff, and report to the Curriculum and Quality Improvement Manager Justice.
We''re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, enjoys the structure of trackers and systems, and is comfortable picking up the phone to have a difficult conversation when needed.
This is a role for someone reliable, methodical and unfazed by repetition, because consistency is what keeps participants from falling through the gaps.
The role is primarily based at CFO Hubs across Yorkshire and Humber, hybrid working with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
Occasional travel to custodial sites is required, though this is not frequent.
This role is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2029.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain participant retention data, evidencing steps of the re-engagement process.
Contact participants who have disengaged, are at risk of dropping out or have transferred into the contract area, by phone and email, to support re-engagement within agreed timescales.
Monitor the risk dashboard, requesting risk from probation, prompting delivery staff to complete or update risk-related records within agreed timescales.
Administer participant feedback questionnaires and collate responses to flag themes and concerns for quality improvement.
Manage Outcome Star administration, including updating participant records,
chasing outstanding assessments and monitoring completion rates.
Maintain accurate retention, risk, feedback and Outcome Star records on CATS and internal trackers.
Maintain spreadsheets, trackers and logs to support quality and compliance monitoring.
Support the preparation of reports and summaries for internal management and quality compliance purposes.
Undertake additional administrative duties as reasonably required.
About You: We are looking for someone who is naturally organised, reliable and comfortable with detail-heavy, process-driven work.
You will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in getting records right first time.
You should be confident speaking with participants by phone, including those facing complex or difficult circumstances, and comfortable chasing colleagues for updates without losing momentum.
You don''t need previous experience of the justice sector, but you should be willing to learn its systems and requirements quickly.
Skills Required: Reliable and conscientious, taking personal responsibility for the accuracy of your work.
Organised and able to manage multiple trackers and deadlines at once.
Confident and skilled on the phone, including with participants facing complex barriers.
Proactive in spotting gaps or issues and following them through to resolution.
Comfortable working independently while staying closely connected to the wider team.
Empathetic and non-judgemental when working with people who may be facing significant challenges.
Adaptable to changing priorities and new systems.
Our team is small and supportive, so we''re looking for someone who takes ownership of their own workload and flags issues early rather than letting them build up.
The most successful people in this role are the ones who keep on top of the detail even when it isn''t glamorous.
Desirable Experience: Whilst not essential,
applications would be particularly welcomed from candidates who have experience of: Administrative or data entry roles involving spreadsheets, trackers or databases.
Communicating with members of the public or service users, including by telephone.
Working within criminal justice, probation, employability or similar public service settings.
Using case management or bespoke tracking systems.
Why Join Us? On Justice contracts within the Growth Company, we support people in prison and on probation to rebuild stability in their lives, and the accuracy of our data and systems underpins all of it.
You''ll join a team that takes quality seriously without losing sight of the people behind every tracker entry.
You''ll work alongside experienced colleagues in the Curriculum and Quality Improvement team, in a role where consistency and attention to detail contribute directly to something that matters.
