Every day, the work that we do transforms the lives of people with mental illness through specialized mental healthcare, advocacy, research and education Nursing Resource Team As a Resource Team RN, you will be available to float to all units of the hospital as required.

Qualifications:



Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Up to 3 months Nursing Experience Knowledge of mental health/addiction issues Clear understanding of MHA and relevant legislation Able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in psychiatric nursing practice as articulated in the Canadian Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Practice.

Knowledge of mental health/addiction issues with specific knowledge about physical/medical compilations related to mental health and addictions Able to meet the standards of nursing practice of the College of Nurses CPR certification within the last 12 months (BCLS at a minimum) Evidence of continuing professional education Effective verbal and written communications skills Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills Problem solving, leadership and management skills in responding to complex and rapidly changing situations Sensitivity, skills and experience working with diverse individuals and communities English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.

Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Experience in Mental Health and/or addictions Membership and active participation in a qualified nursing organization (RNAO) Experience with evidence-based nursing care to youth with early onset mental illness Salary Range: 41.15to 58.98 per hour
