Robert Half Canada is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a professional organization.
This role is ideal for an HR professional who combines strong knowledge of human resources practices with sound judgment, discretion, and a collaborative approach.
The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with HR leadership to support people programs, employee relations, talent processes, compliance, reporting, and organizational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources Programs and Practices Provide guidance to managers and team leads on human resources matters, employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and workplace practices.
Support the development, implementation, communication, and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and procedures.
Research HR trends, best practices, and legislative updates, and recommend improvements to support organizational objectives.
Maintain and update HR policies, processes, and employee handbook materials to support accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Monitor changes in employment-related legislation and support updates to internal practices as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, create efficiencies, and strengthen the employee experience.
Administer online training programs and support HR-related learning initiatives.
Talent and Employee Experience Support and enhance employee onboarding programs to help new hires integrate successfully into the organization.
Conduct onboarding and offboarding discussions to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Communicate policies, procedures, and HR program information clearly and consistently.
Support the annual performance management and appraisal process, including timelines, documentation, and follow-up.
Compliance and Health & Safety Support compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation, including employment standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Monitor legislative updates and support policy and process enhancements in response to regulatory changes.
Lead or support health and safety committee activities, wellness initiatives, and related workplace programs.
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives and committees that contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace.
Talent Attraction and Recruitment Support full-cycle recruitment for administrative and professional-level roles.
Post opportunities to relevant job boards, qualified associations, and recruitment channels.
Screen applications, prepare interview questions, schedule and conduct interviews, coordinate reference checks, and assist with offer processes.
Support hiring managers with recruitment best practices, interview techniques, and selection processes.
