Claims Coordinator Adjustment Job Summary Reporting to management, the incumbent oversees, coordinates, and optimizes all activities related to claims management (annual volume of 300 to 400 files).
As team lead of a team of 5 claims handlers, you ensure the prompt, rigorous, and compliant processing of claims, while supporting the team, condominium managers, and clients.

Evaluate initial claim requests to validate departmental acceptance.
Ensure strict adherence to internal procedures, operational checklists, and timelines.
Guarantee the quality, consistency, and clarity of communications sent to co-owners and property managers.
Analyze performance indicators (turnaround times, satisfaction, etc.) and update internal procedures as needed.
Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and coach a team of 5 claims managers on a daily basis.
Ensure equitable workload distribution and conduct regular follow-ups.
Support the team during emergencies, conflicts, or complex cases.
Organize monthly team meetings and contribute to annual staff performance reviews.
Facilitate skills development and ongoing training regarding tools and processes.
Interdepartmental Collaboration & Financial Tracking Maintain excellent communication with property managers, the accounting department, and management.
Manage the departments monthly invoicing and track accounts receivable (suppliers and internal billing).
Identify opportunities to bill management fees for major claims.
Prepare and present key departmental metrics during weekly management meetings.
Complex Case Management Directly handle or closely supervise high-stakes files (significant costs, disputes, or complex claims).
Step in during sensitive communications with clients or external partners.
Qualifications Experience in claims management (administrative and supervisory aspects; non-technical).
Solid understanding of the condominium insurance sector in Quebec.
Claims adjuster certificate / AMF certification (required or a significant asset).
Degree or training in a related field (management, administration, insurance, project management, etc.).
Fluency in French (spoken and written).
Good French and English required since you will need to communicate with external associates located outside of Quebec and in Ontario on a regular day to day basis Intermediate level of English (spoken and written)
required for daily external communication with Ontario-based entities and experts outside Quebec.
Excellent leadership, priority management, and conflict resolution skills; strong organizational abilities and proficiency with office software.
