Context of the project: The team develops robots for global power plants, handling tasks in areas humans can’t reach. For instance, a crawler inspects buried pipes, checking for failures and testing pipe and soil integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Defines system requirements for robotic behavior, performance, and interaction with its environment.
- Architects overall robot systems, ensuring hardware, software, and sensing components work cohesively.
- Implements and tests robot behavior, autonomy, and coordination.
- Validates system performance through simulation, experimentation, and iterative refinement.
- Troubleshoots complex issues across the robot’s lifecycle using data, logs, and diagnostic tools.
- Ensures safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards for robotic operation.
- Optimizes robot workflows for efficiency, robustness, and scalability in real‑world environments.




- Documents system architecture and processes to support deployment, maintenance, and future development.

Candidate Requirements

- 7+ years of experience in Robotics experience in design / fabrication / testing
- SolidWorks
- Custom designed robots (custom process skids, crawlers with inspection heads …)

Nice to Have

- Nuclear experience
- P.Eng.
- Robots with buried piping inspection & repair specialty

Soft Skills

Good communication to work in a collaborative engineering environment.
