Position Overview
As a Line Cook at Cabot Cape Breton, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and creativity. Your role involves executing menu items according to recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and collaborating effectively with other kitchen staff. Attention to detail, speed, and the ability to work under pressure are crucial in this role, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of exceptional dishes to our guests. You will assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating, contributing to the overall dining experience at Cabot Cape Breton. Preferred Qualifications And Skills
- Previous experience in the culinary field required
- Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Requirements Of The Role You Should Be Aware Of
- Consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Spending long hours walking, standing, and using knife skills.
- Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional ascending and descending of stairs and ramps.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Working in a hot, intense kitchen producing a significant volume of food.
- Constant focus and repetitive work are expected.
- Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints.
