Position Overview

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care and support to clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily activities and personal hygiene.
- Support clients’ physical, social, and emotional needs following resident‑centred care principles.
- Comply with government standards, residents’ rights, and the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent.
- Current CPR Certificate and registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
- Experience in a long‑term care setting is an asset.
- Resident‑centred care focus with strong customer‑service and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem‑solve, and manage time.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Behaviour management training (Gentle Persuasive Approach, U‑First, CPI) an asset.
- Computer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office); basic knowledge of Workday an asset.




- Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset.

Working Conditions

- Considerable standing, walking, lifting, and bending; exposure to all resident‑care elements.
- Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and short shifts; may be required to work alternate shifts to meet operational needs.
- Temporary part‑time position for 5 months.

Compensation

Salary Range: $25.41–$27.62 per hour.
