About This Opportunity

The NWOH is a volunteer organization that provides volunteers with a tremendous opportunity to participate with outgoing and energetic retired members of the community. We are like minded individuals who get a jolt out of being able to utilize our knowledge and experiences to provide a service to our community and to the even more unfortunate members of the global village. We strive to support those in need by providing them with items and goods that allow them to live a better life.

The activities at the warehouse are varied,



some very physically challenging (such as loading a container with hospital beds and equipment) to very entertaining (kibitzing with the other volunteers). It is extremely rewarding to be able to collect used but still usable equipment from local hospitals, retirement homes, hotels , schools and businesses. Then thru the efforts and capabilities of the numerous volunteers we are able to repair, recycle and reuse these items to support those in need around the globe as well as within the Niagara Region.
