Join the Aquatic Invasive Species Program as a Watercraft Inspector in Manitoba. Assist with inspections, educate the public, and ensure compliance with regulations while enjoying the outdoors. This position is based in Winnipeg, The Pas, and Minnedosa, offering both stationary and roving roles.
Successful candidates will perform inspections and decontaminations of watercraft, while promoting stewardship practices to prevent invasive species introduction. Candidates must be prepared to travel throughout Manitoba and work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and decontaminate watercraft and equipment
- Educate public on aquatic invasive species prevention
- Communicate with landowners and provincial staff
- Coordinate inspections and site plans across regions
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions Requirements:
- Experience with public and stakeholder engagement
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Valid Manitoba class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to work under pressure independently
