Predictive Analytics & Strategy Student - Toronto District, Canadian Buildings Division (4 or 8 months starting September 2026)

Responsibilities

- Collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from multiple internal and external sources
- Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and key drivers
- Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and documentation
- Assisting in the development, testing, and refinement of predictive models
- Applying statistical and machine learning techniques appropriate to the business problem
- Evaluating model performance and refining assumptions as needed
- Translating analytical findings into clear insights that inform strategic decisions
- Developing dashboards, visualizations, and summary materials for non-technical audiences
- Supporting scenario analysis and forecasting exercises
- Working closely with strategic functions and leadership teams to understand business questions
- Clearly communicating methodology, assumptions, and findings
- Incorporating feedback and iterating on analyses

Qualifications

- Working towards a degree or diploma in a data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science and/or analytics-related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Exposure to machine learning techniques such as regression,



classification, or clustering
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience working with large datasets
- Proficiency with analytical languages (e.g., Python or R)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

Estimated hourly range: $19.57 – $28.69, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
