If you’re passionate about innovation, collaboration, and making an impact, this is your chance to thrive.**Location**: 31 Patterson Rd, Barrie, ON L4N 3V9 (view on google maps!)**Work Schedule**: Mon-Fri: 7:00am – 4:00pm# Your Impact# In this role, you will lead impactful capital and process improvement initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance.This position offers a hands-on, dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and innovation across multiple plant operations.# What You’ll Do* Lead end-to-end engineering projects, including analysis, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, and production readiness* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and overall plant efficiency* Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and external partners to execute projects and resolve technical challenges* Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring successful and timely delivery* Support plant layout design, workflow optimization, and ergonomic improvements* Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality,
and cost performance across manufacturing operations* Act as a change agent, supporting the adoption of new technologies and processes# What You’ll Bring# **Required:*** Post-secondary degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field)* 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment* Experience with project coordination or project management* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or similar CAD tools* Understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills* Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local sites as needed**Preferred:*** Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or actively working toward certification* Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling tools* Exposure to automation or capital equipment projects* Familiarity with plastics manufacturing or similar processes* Basic understanding of electrical systems# Why Join Us?* Competitive compensation with annual pay progression and bonus program* Comprehensive benefits from Day 1 (no waiting period!)* Company matching RRSP plan* Paid vacation time* KM reimbursement for local travel* Temperature-controlled (air-conditioned) facility for improved working conditions* Career growth opportunities within engineering and operations# Working ConditionsRequires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50lbs alone.
