Empower youth in Wikwemikong as a WNCYSC Facilitator. Drive programs promoting health and resilience for Indigenous youth aged 13-24 through culturally relevant education and activities.
Wikwemikong Health
Centre seeks a facilitator dedicated to enhancing youth well-being in the community.
Your role includes planning and implementing educational programs, organizing engaging activities, and fostering a safe space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. You will connect with community members and promote the Waasa Naabin Community Youth Services Centre. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement youth program activities
- Offer culturally aligned educational services
- Recruit youth volunteers for community initiatives
- Coordinate safe spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ youth
- Manage the drop-in centre, including operating hours Requirements:
- Diploma in Child & Youth Work or related field
- Explicit criminal reference check required
- 1-2 years of program planning experience
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License preferred
- Knowledge of First Nations communities and their culture Support youth development as a WNCYSC Facilitator at the Wikwemikong Health Centre.
