Drive success for newcomer youths by instructing the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy at Regina Immigrant Women Centre. Develop essential skills like business communication and financial literacy. As a program instructor for YES-STAIY, you will engage diverse student populations in essential workplace readiness topics.
Your role includes preparing curriculum outlines, providing in-class training, and supporting youth in their job search efforts. Collaboration with the Job Developer and participation in follow-up sessions will also be key components of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional objectives
- Revise syllabus and hand-outs for each course
- Provide course-specific skills training in-class
- Monitor youth progress and document evaluations
- Support the YES-STAIY Job Developer in client readiness Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years teaching experience
- Knowledge of local labor market initiatives
- Familiarity with adult learning principles
- Understanding of multicultural perspectives
