Job Title: Cloud Specialist - AWS

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE)

Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced Cloud Specialist to design, build, and manage scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), backend development, and distributed systems, with a solid understanding of networking, databases, and cloud security.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Cloud Development.

Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon Redshift, RDS, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK and CDK for Terraform (CDKTF).

Robust knowledge of system design, application architecture, and distributed systems.





Experience with SQL, database design, and database administration.

Good understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, Subnets, Routing, Firewalls).

Knowledge of Docker, containerization, cryptography, and cloud security best practices.

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud solutions.

Build cloud-native and serverless applications using AWS services.

Develop backend services and APIs using Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK and CDKTF.

Optimize cloud infrastructure, databases, and application performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud solutions.
