Role Overview

The Volunteer Coordinator supports the day to day coordination of volunteers and helps ensure a smooth, organized, and welcoming volunteer experience. This role works closely with MNLC staff and the Volunteer Lead to match volunteers with appropriate opportunities and maintain explicit communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Support volunteer recruitment, intake, and onboarding
- Maintain volunteer records, schedules, and contact lists
- Assist with matching volunteers to programs and roles
- Communicate updates, expectations, and schedules to volunteers
- Flag concerns or issues and escalating when appropriate

Requirements





- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfort working with diverse teams and community members
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established processes
- Experience in volunteer coordination or administrative support is an asset
- Interest in nonprofit or newcomer serving work
