Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate to join a Client Onboarding team supporting investment advisors with account openings and client asset transfers. This is an operations-focused role and is not client-facing . The successful candidate will help ensure client accounts are opened accurately and efficiently while coordinating transfers from other financial institutions and resolving operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support investment advisors with the onboarding of new client accounts.
- Open and establish client investment accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate and monitor transfers from other financial institutions.
- Follow up on outstanding account transfer requests.
- Review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Manage escalations and assist in resolving onboarding issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a smooth onboarding experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of banking or financial services operations experience.
- Experience with account openings and client account transfers, ideally within wealth management or investment operations.
- Robust proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Comfortable working with technology, data, and multiple systems.
- Experience handling escalations and interpreting operational policies.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Eagerness to learn current systems and processes.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative approach to work.
Education
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Interview Process
- Up to two interview rounds.
- Initial virtual interview (approximately 30 minutes).
