We are a dynamic, rapidly growing team with an entrepreneurial culture providing superior customer service and customized energy solutions with impact.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks with owners, contractors and internal sales and solutions teams as needed to provide input on strategy, vendor/partner selection, scope determination and enhancements, value engineering, risk assessment as needed.Highly knowledgeable and proficient in the supervision, design, engineering, installation, start-up and commissioning of central utility plant equipment, HVAC systems, building automation, renewables and in office generationActs as the primary on-site leader and customer representative for execution teams on assigned Develops project schedules, resource plans and executes and manages on-time-on-budget outcomes according to these plans for assigned projectsEnsures all work follows provincial, local and federal legal and code requirements and operates on the job with the highest ofAdheres to,
enforces and ensures Blackstone staff and subcontractors strictly observe all Company and industry health and safety standards.Responsible for following consistent and repeatable project management procedures and processes as set out by Provides continuous improvement input and support to Blackstone’s Project Management Office to achieve profitable project results and the highest level of customer satisfaction.Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued requirements, field directives and/or scheduling changes. Performs associated cost estimates, prepares proposals, change orders and negotiates final settlement price and customerReviews and interprets contract Terms and Conditions, insurances and bonding requirement and works with President, Energy Solutions to commercially de-risk undertaking contracted projects.Analyzes financial reporting and project schedules to proactively address potential Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management as required.Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required. Resolves disputes with minimal need forNegotiates, prepares and issues subcontract agreements and terms and condition to equipment suppliers, trades and consultingEnsures project document controls follow contract requirements and companyOversees project construction for compliance with specifications, codes and installationManages the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projectsDevelops, maintains and manages viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors. Manages job progress meetings as required. Ensures subcontractors understand expectations of theCoordinates with the VP Clean Infrastructure and Project Managers for selection and allocation of internal and external resources required to meet the assigned projects and their objectives through the methodology of strong matrix project management and planningEnsures any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with all federal, provincial and municipal established codes and standards. Works to develop a continuous improvement program with respect to project solutions and system functional and performance commissioning to achieve optimal outcomes in each areaCoordinates customer-trainingSelf-performs cost estimating, project scheduling and project management of assignedSupport strategic corporate and subsidiary company initiatives from time-to-time as requested.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction ManagementLicensed Eng. (Ontario) requiredProject Management Professional (PMP)
