Senior Data / Snowflake Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data / Snowflake Engineer with strong experience in Snowflake and Azure to design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for a major healthcare and orthodontics client. In this role, you will integrate data from business and clinical applications (such as Cloud 9, OrthoFi, and CRM systems) into Snowflake using Azure Data Factory, delivering high-performance datasets and business metrics while adhering to healthcare compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factoryand SQLMesh for transformation models.

Snowflake Architecture: Build and optimize Snowflake data models, complex SQL transformations, and analytical datasets handling incremental and CDC data.

System Integration: Standardize and integrate data from multiple healthcare sources (Cloud 9, OrthoFi, PMS, CRM) into central repositories.

Analytics & KPIs: Develop complex KPIs and operational metrics across patient care, practice management, financial, and marketing domains.

Data Governance & Quality: Implement data quality validation, reconciliation, lineage,



and metadata management processes using Atlan.

Observability & Monitoring: Monitor pipelines, data workloads, and system health using Datadog.

DevOps & Infrastructure: Use Terraform (IaC) for infrastructure management and deploy automated CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Compliance & Security: Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, PHI/PII, and healthcare security standards across all data architectures. Required Skills & Qualifications

Snowflake & SQL: Deep hands-on experience with advanced SQL and Snowflake data warehousing architecture.

Azure Ecosystem: Robust experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline development and Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform for automated provisioning.

Data Transformation: Experience using SQLMesh (or similar modern data transformation tools).

Data Observability & Governance: Familiarity with Atlan for cataloging/lineage and Datadog for workload monitoring.

Compliance: Solid understanding of data security practices, including HIPAA regulations and handling sensitive PHI/PII data. Preferred Qualifications

Prior domain experience with orthodontic or healthcare platforms (Cloud 9, OrthoFi, practice management software, or specialized CRMs).
