Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Data Administrator to join the Data Operations team of a large maritime organization. This role is responsible for the administration, reliability, security, and governance of a up-to-date Azure-based data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, along with a solid background in cloud data engineering, platform operations, and enterprise data governance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering or data platform administration
- Strong Databricks experience, including PySpark, Spark SQL, job scheduling, Delta Lake, and cluster management
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, including pipeline development, linked services, parameterization, and Databricks orchestration
- Cloud platform administration experience, including RBAC, Azure Key Vault, managed identities, and Unity Catalog
- Pipeline monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support, including performance tuning and resolving job failures
- Strong SQL and Python skills, including working with semi-structured data, API integrations, and error handling
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience implementing and managing Unity Catalog governance
- Dimensional modeling expertise
- Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code experience for data platform deployments
