Must Haves

- 5 7+ years of hands-on experience building modern, large-scale front-end applications.
- Strong expertise in React.js with a deep understanding of component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and modern front-end development practices.
- Experience integrating with CDNs, such as Akamai, Cloudflare or similar platforms, and deploying high-performance, globally distributed web applications.
- Hands-on experience with Contentful or another headless CMS, such as Sanity, Strapi, Adobe AEM Headless or Prismic.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, SEO and web performance optimization.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience building reusable and scalable front-end components.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience developing production-grade, customer-facing web applications.
- Experience optimizing application performance, page-load speed and front-end responsiveness.
- Experience working with Git, code reviews and modern software-development practices.
- Ability to work with product, design, backend, content, QA and DevOps teams.

Role Overview

- Experience with Next.js, visual page builders, experimentation platforms, personalization, AWS, design systems and cloud-native application development will be considered an asset.

Good to Have

- Experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering, static site generation and edge rendering.
- Experience building or extending WYSIWYG website/page builders, visual authoring platforms or drag-and-drop content editing experiences. This is considered a strong plus.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms, such as Optimizely, Adobe Target, LaunchDarkly or GrowthBook.
- Experience implementing personalization capabilities based on customer segments, behaviour or AI-driven recommendations.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.

Additional Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with automated front-end testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, content teams, QA teams and DevOps teams.
- Participate in technical design, architecture and code-review activities.
- Troubleshoot defects, performance issues and production problems.
- Support CI/CD, automated testing and modern DevOps practices.
- Contribute to shared component libraries and Design System development.
- Support experimentation, A/B testing and personalization capabilities where applicable.

CDN and Global Application Delivery Experience
- Experience with content caching, browser caching, asset delivery and application performance.
- Experience optimizing images, scripts, stylesheets and static assets.

Headless CMS Experience
- Equivalent headless CMS platforms may include: Sanity, Strapi, Adobe AEM Headless, Prismic, Contentstack, Sitecore Headless, Other API-based content management platforms.
- Experience integrating CMS-managed content into React applications.
- Experience working with content models, reusable content components and publishing workflows.
- Experience supporting content authors, marketing teams or editorial users.

Accessibility Experience
- Experience developing accessible user interfaces and components.
- Experience with semantic HTML, keyboard navigation and screen-reader compatibility.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.

SEO Experience
- Experience implementing technical SEO requirements in contemporary front-end applications.
- Experience with metadata, structured content, page titles, canonical URLs and search-engine indexing.
- Experience ensuring content-driven websites remain crawlable and discoverable.

Web Performance Optimization Experience
- Experience with performance techniques such as: Code splitting, Lazy loading, Bundle optimization, Image optimization, Caching, Server-side rendering, Static site generation, CDN delivery, Edge rendering.




- Experience monitoring and improving Core Web Vitals is preferred.

API Integration Experience
- Experience handling asynchronous data retrieval, loading states, errors and authentication.
- Exposure to backend services and microservices-based architectures is preferred.

Next.js Experience
- Experience with Next.js is preferred.
- Experience with: Server-side rendering, Static site generation, Client-side rendering, Routing, Middleware, Edge rendering, Application performance optimization.

WYSIWYG and Visual Authoring Experience
- Experience building or extending WYSIWYG website/page builders, visual authoring platforms or drag-and-drop content editing experiences is a strong plus.
- Experience creating reusable page sections, layouts or configurable content components.
- Experience enabling non-technical users to create and update website content.

A/B Testing and Experimentation Experience
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms, such as: Optimizely, Adobe Target, LaunchDarkly, GrowthBook.
- Experience with feature flags, experiment configuration, audience segmentation and controlled rollouts.

Personalization Experience
- Experience implementing personalization capabilities based on: Customer segments, User behaviour, Customer profiles, Geographic location, Business rules, AI-driven recommendations.

AWS and Cloud Experience
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development is preferred.
- Relevant AWS services may include: CloudFront, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Route 53, Amplify, CloudWatch, Cognito.

CI/CD and DevOps Experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with tools such as: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience working with automated build, test and deployment processes.

Automated Testing Experience
- Experience with front-end automated testing is preferred.
- Relevant testing tools may include: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, Vitest.

Design System Experience
- Experience with Design System development.
- Experience building reusable UI components and shared component libraries.
- Experience with design tokens, component standards and documentation.
- Experience with Storybook or similar component-development tools is preferred.
