Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced API Developer with FIS System Knowledge to design, develop, integrate, and support secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs for enterprise banking and financial applications. The ideal candidate should have experience working with FIS (Fidelity National Information Services) platforms, API development, and backend integrations to enable seamless communication between core banking systems and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable REST APIs for banking and financial applications.

Integrate APIs with FIS core banking and payment platforms.

Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot following microservices architecture.

Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT,



and other authentication mechanisms.

Work with API Gateway solutions to manage routing, security, and monitoring.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and development teams to deliver integration solutions.

Troubleshoot API performance, integration, and production issues.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Prepare technical documentation for APIs and integrations.

Support application deployments and production releases.

Required Qualifications

4 6 years of experience in API Development.

Hands-on experience with FIS platforms or banking applications.

Solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.

Experience with API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT).

Knowledge of SQL databases and backend integrations.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with API Gateway platforms (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, or similar).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Experience in Banking, Payments, or Financial Services domain.
