Provide administrative support for the Drug Safety Clinic, a fast-paced multi-disciplinary clinic
dedicated to evaluating and testing patients for drug allergies and managing adverse drug reactions.
Duties Include
- Schedule patient appointments, maintain patient/clinic records
- Greet, screen, registers patients in-person and over the phone, and coordinate patient flow
- during clinic.
- Performs administrative tasks answer phone, fields’ patient inquiries in a timely manner, prompt
- respond to emails, word processing, faxing, filing, and ordering supplies.
- Submits OHIP billings for physicians
- Assist clinic physicians, pharmacist, nurses as needed
- Other duties as required for clinic operations
Qualifications/Skills
- Successful completion of Medical Secretary program/diploma at community college level plus a
minimum of 2 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and
Experience
- Recent experience providing administrative support in a health care/hospital setting
- Working knowledge of PHS/PAS, QuadraMed, Outlook and Microsoft Office an asset
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (Accuro) an asset
- Solid attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent problem-solving and exceptional time management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical/medical terminology
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance and punctuality required
