Shur-Gro Farm Services is an independent agriculture retailer supplying seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products directly to producers. We also provide agronomy services and custom application. We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team at our Westbourne, MB location for the summer.

Position Overview

As a Summer Student Agronomist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Seed treating

Crop protection recommendations

Field scouting

Soil sampling

Fertilizer blending

Crop protection and seed shipping & receiving

General yard and facility maintenance

You will have opportunities to consistently develop your agricultural knowledge through hands-on experience, enrollment in summer student programs,



and attendance at crop tours.

Job Requirements

Registered in a degree or diploma program in Agriculture or a related field (asset)

Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Reliable transportation to Westbourne, MB

Ability to work extended hours from May to August, including evenings and weekends

Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an outdoor environment
