DCDSB invites qualified Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECE) for casual DECE employment opportunities for the 2025/2026 school year.

Applicants require the following qualifications:

Diploma from a two-year Early Childhood Education program.

- Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, in good standing.

- One year (Preferred) childcare work experience in an educational setting.

- Experience in planning and implementing age-appropriate programs.

Preferred but not required qualifications include:

- Knowledge of the Ministry of Education’s full-day learning program, (The Full-Day Early Learning- Kindergarten Curriculum Document);

- Knowledge of the ELECT document, (Early Learning for Every Child Today);

- Knowledge of related legislation;





- Any FDK related training;
- Current First Aid and CPR certification;

Applications must include resume and cover letter referring to educational and related experience,

Copy of Registration/Certificate from the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (in positive standing),

Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector (within 6 months),

Pastoral Letter is preferred,
