Job Summary:
Urban Life Solutions is currently seeking a Heavy Duty 310T Mechanic to join our Fleet & Facility team in Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of equipment used in landscaping, maintenance, construction, and snow & ice removal operations.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues

Use schematics and technical manuals to assist with repairs-

Assistances of Apprentices and opportunity to help teach and grow apprentices

Weld and fabricate parts as needed

Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete repairs

Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or areas of improvement

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed

Experience:
Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in a dealership or similar setting

Must possess valid driver’s license and a good driving record

Fleet experience preferred

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems

Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus

Proficient in electrical diagnostics and repairs

Experience operating a forklift is preferred

Ability to assemble and disassemble components accurately

Mechanic: 3 years (preferred)

310T Certificate (required)

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
