Position: CNC Set Up Operator

Reports to: Production Supervisor

These products are marketed throughout North America into the retail, agricultural, industrial and original equipment manufacturer markets. Employing over 600 people, Monarch’s corporate office is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba with a foundry in Winkler, Manitoba and a distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Monarch has positioned itself to service all the needs of their customers’ diverse requirements.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

· Set Up and Operate CNC machines efficiently and safely

· Maintain required productivity levels (efficiency & utilization)

· Produce required quality of work

· Contribute to continuous improvement daily

· Ability to work as a part of a 24-hour operation that rotates shifts on a 4-week schedule

· Adheres to all Safety and Health standards

Education and Experience Required:

· High School

· Completed CNC programming courses

· Operate CNC Lathe and CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers

· Proven ability to program and/or adjust CNC programs

· Understand and interpret blueprints and production documents an asset

· Ability to set up and run lathes and drills an asset

· Must pass CNC Practical Pre-Employment Test (written)





· Must pass Measurement Pre-Employment Test (Tape, Caliper, Micrometer, Gauge)

· Must pass Essential Skills Pre-Employment Test

· Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and challenging environment by effectively organizing, prioritizing, and executing.

· Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required

· Ability to work independently without direct supervision

· Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods

· Perform activities within a schedule

· Work involves pressure to meet deadlines

· Juggle tasks and prioritize work

· Make easy decisions or solve straightforward problems
