We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Subcontractor Drywall Installer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation, a commitment to quality workmanship, and excellent customer service skills.

Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework

Collaboration:

- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all construction elements into the overall project.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities

- Installing drywall panels to walls and ceilings according to blueprints and specifications.
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting drywall panels to size.
- Applying tape, sealing compound, and sanding joints to create a smooth surface.
- Installing corner beads and securing drywall panels to the framing.
- Repairing damaged drywall and preparing surfaces for painting or finishing.
- Ensuring all work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
- Collaborating with other construction professionals to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
- Maintaining a clean and protected work environment.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Receiving direction from the project manager as directed.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in drywall installation, verifiable through references.
- Must have own vehicle, tools, and equipment for drywall installation.




- Must carry their own Liability Insurance and Workers Comp (WSIB).
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to drywall installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy drywall panels and equipment.
- Must be clean, tidy, and responsible for maintaining a safe job site.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Must have a smartphone and basic computer skills for receiving dispatch orders.
- Completion of a formal drywall installation apprenticeship is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
