Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker to join our team. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging workplace for children in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong caregiving skills, and experience working with young children, including those with special needs. This position offers an prospect to make a positive impact on children's development while working in a supportive and professional setting.

This position is a casual position.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and monitor children during play, learning activities, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Prepare meals & snacks appropriate to each child’s age.
- Assist children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and creativity
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns




- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by providing tailored care and assistance as required

Requirements

- 19+ mandatory
- Completion of childcare specific courses or programs or willingness to complete prior to employment.
- Prior experience working with young children is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- References for Childcare experience is a must.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving best practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is mandatory or willingness to obtain certification.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
