Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and food handling tasks. Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to ensure timely meal production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve meals efficiently to customers or table service staff, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies,



notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards assisting colleagues and serving customers
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and serving processes
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety regulations
