Economy Paving Ltd is seeking an experienced Concrete Supervisor to oversee concrete and civil construction projects in Calgary and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crews, coordinating job sites, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
We are looking for a strong leader with experience in commercial, municipal, and civil concrete construction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate concrete crews and subcontractors
- Oversee daily job site operations and production schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, grades, and specifications
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower requirements
- Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications
- Enforce company safety policies and site safety standards
- Communicate with superintendents, inspectors, and clients
- Monitor productivity, timelines, and project progress
- Assist with project planning and scheduling
- Troubleshoot job site issues and maintain workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of concrete or civil construction supervision experience
- Strong knowledge of concrete placement, formwork, grading, and finishing
- Experience with municipal projects considered a strong asset
- Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced construction setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required
