We are looking for enthusiastic part-time Math & Science Tutors who enjoy working with students and are familiar with the BC Curriculum.
As a Sylvan Instructor, you will receive comprehensive training in the Sylvan teaching method and curriculum, along with the tools and support needed to teach in a small-group setting (up to 3 students per instructor).
Responsibilities * Teach Math and Science using Sylvan programs and instructional methods * Assist students with math homework and assignments when appropriate * Motivate, encourage,
and engage students throughout each lesson * Recognize and reward student achievement * Evaluate and document student progress * Communicate student progress and learning needs with the Director * Build positive relationships with students and create a fun, supportive learning environment Hours of Instruction * Monday–Thursday: 2:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. * Friday: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. * Saturday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, or a related field, or currently pursuing one * Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred * Familiarity with the BC Curriculum is an asset * Robust communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Passion for helping students build confidence and succeed ac
