Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication systems such as fiber optic cables, WAN (Wide Area Network), telephony, and low-voltage wiring.
- Operate equipment including bucket trucks and forklifts to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Use welding techniques when necessary to secure infrastructure components or repair damaged structures.
- Conduct routine inspections of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Manage bucket operation for precise placement of cables and equipment at various heights and locations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including installation logs, repair reports, and safety checklists.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate complex installations and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Skills
- Proficiency in telecommunication systems including fiber optics, telephony, and WAN configurations.
- Experience operating bucket trucks, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment safely and effectively.
