Duties

- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods
- Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance
- Use diverse instructional strategies to support different learning styles
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, grades, and student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and contribute to school initiatives




- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development
- Prepare and review instructional materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom setting

Qualifications

- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or equivalent required
- Experience teaching at the secondary school level is preferred
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
