This Rides 4 U Wheelchair Services is a local owned and operated business based in Duncan, B.C. and is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our growing team as a driver. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting individuals with disabilities to various destinations, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the journey.

Responsibilities:

- Safely transport persons with disabilities to and from appointments, activities, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, providing physical assistance and support as required.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety features to accommodate passengers with disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with passengers to address their needs and preferences, maintaining a friendly and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing safety above all else.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger information as required.

Requirements:





- Valid class 4 driver's license preferred but will train.
- Clean driver's abstract for the last 5 years.
- Level 1 first aid preferred but will train.
- Transportation of dangerous goods certification preferred but will train.
- Criminal record check required.
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safe driving practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Including on call 2-3 nights per week.

Benefits:

- Hourly wage of $21.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience, with review after 3 months.
