Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, senior-level Maintenance Technician (Handyman) to lead maintenance and repair operations across our property. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who can work independently, mentor staff, and keep guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

- Perform and oversee general repairs: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance maintenance
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and address issues before they escalate
- Respond promptly to guest room and facility work orders, minimizing disruption to guests
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
- Maintain pool, laundry, kitchen equipment, and life-safety systems as needed
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when specialized work is required
- Train and guide junior maintenance staff
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inventory, and safety records
- Ensure compliance with safety codes and hotel standards




- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs

Experience

- 5+ years of hands-on maintenance/handyman experience, hospitality setting preferred
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics and use standard hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends/on-call as needed
- Trade certifications a plus (HVAC, electrical, etc.)
