PURPOSE

General responsibility for coordinating and supervising all incoming and outgoing freight as required by retailers, and individual customers including freight claims and chargebacks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct, coordinate and plan all inbound and outbound containers to ensure a smooth flow of shipments and deliveries.

Coordinate with carriers for prepaid outbound shipments.

Investigate and resolve any chargebacks from retailers.

Investigate and resolve any claims of freight damage both inbound and outbound.

Obtain freight quotes as needed for the various brands of Karcher North America.

Must be able to calculate cube, dimensions, weights to determine most cost productive way to transport product.

Prepare reports, recommendations and other analysis as necessary.

Effectively utilize space to maximize storage and shipping efficiency.

Can adjust on a moment’s notice to changing demands as needed.

Can demonstrate ability for thorough follow through on open items.

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

Two to four years of related experience is required

Laguage Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.



Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
