Birchwood Dairy is currently looking for an enthusiastic, mature and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team in a permanent full-time position.

Our retail store is open 7 days a week, with shifts scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

What Will Your Day Look Like?

As a Retail Associate, you'll play an important role in creating an outstanding customer experience while helping keep our store clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and assisting customers
- Scooping and serving Birchwood Dairy's famous ice cream
- Preparing sandwiches, soups, and other food items
- Processing customer purchases using our point-of-sale system
- Restocking merchandise and displays
- Maintaining food safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards
- Keeping the store clean, organized, and welcoming
- Supporting your teammates during busy periods
- Assisting the Retail Manager oversee other associates and with scheduling
- Performing other retail duties as assigned

What We're Looking For





The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is dependable, and thrives in a busy retail environment.

You will be successful if you:

- Have 1-2 years previous retail or food service experience.
- Have outstanding customer service skills
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Take initiative and work well independently
- Are organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Work well as part of a team
- Are reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Are able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
