Full Job Description

Position Summary

The production worker will be responsible for working on the production line of Blendtek Fine Ingredients. This individual will be responsible for the operation of equipment for the manufacture of various products and will ensure all work performed adheres to all organizational standards as well as safety regulations and guidelines. This is a labour-intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time.

Essential Functions

- Pick, pack, and weigh ingredients used in production.
- Follow instructions for the production of dry mixes.
- Load dry ingredients into blenders & unload blended mixes while following Quality Control procedures.
- Wash and sanitize equipment.
- Learn and follow the safe and proper operation of the equipment.
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Perform required pre-use inspections, setup, and cleaning procedures for all equipment.
- Labelling, packing,



bagging, weighing and boxing and palletizing finished product
- Monitor ingredients, products and packaging for basic quality defects; report to Production Team Lead.
- Perform all duties according to applicable quality and food safety systems/initiatives and processes including record completion (Ex. GMP, SOP, SSOP, etc.)
- Physical Effort: frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach with hands and arms, and climb steps; must be able to lift, pull or push up to 70 pounds.
- Act as a backup for other production associates.
- Other job duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

- Completion of secondary school

Required Skills and Knowledge

- Previous experience in food processing and packaging environment is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and apply instructions in English.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve.
- Basic math skills
- Commitment to safety and food quality standards
- Attention to detail and contributes to positive team environment.

Salary

- $19.00- $21.00 per hour

Schedule

- Monday - Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional earlier start, later finish
- 8-hour shift
- 40 hours per week
- Potential for overtime

- One location - Cambridge, Ontario
