Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and trustworthy Housekeeper & Cook to manage the day-to-day cleaning, organization, and meal preparation for a private household. The ideal candidate should take pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and well-organized home and be comfortable preparing fresh home-cooked meals.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping

- Perform daily cleaning and general upkeep of the home.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean floors as required.
- Dust and clean furniture, surfaces, fixtures, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and counters.
- Clean bedrooms and change bed linens regularly.
- Make beds and keep bedrooms neat and organized.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including counters, appliances, cupboards, and refrigerator.
- Load/unload dishwasher and wash dishes as required.
- Empty garbage and recycling and replace liners.
- Keep closets, cupboards, pantry, and storage areas neat and organized.
- Perform deeper cleaning periodically, including windows, baseboards, appliances, cabinets, and other areas.
- Identify household supplies that need to be replenished and inform the employer.

Laundry & Clothing Care

- Wash, dry, fold, and organize household laundry.
- Iron or steam clothing when required.
- Change and wash bed linens and towels.
- Properly organize clothing and linens in closets and drawers.
- Handle delicate clothing according to care instructions.

Cooking & Kitchen Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh, healthy, home-cooked meals according to the family's preferences.
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner as required.
- Follow dietary preferences and restrictions provided by the family.




- Assist with weekly meal planning.
- Prepare ingredients in advance when helpful.
- Maintain proper food storage and kitchen hygiene.
- Keep the refrigerator and pantry clean and organized.
- Monitor expiry dates and dispose of expired food.
- Prepare a grocery list based on meal plans and household needs.
- Assist with grocery shopping when required.
- Clean the kitchen thoroughly after cooking.

Household Organization

- Maintain an organized and presentable home throughout the day.
- Help organize household items, closets, pantry, and storage spaces.
- Receive household deliveries when required.
- Inform the employer of maintenance issues or items requiring repair.
- Assist with reasonable household errands when requested.

Qualifications & Expectations

- Previous experience as a housekeeper, household helper, or cook preferred.
- Good cooking skills and willingness to prepare meals according to the family's preferences.
- Strong cleaning and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Honest, trustworthy, and respectful of the family's privacy.
- Able to work independently and manage daily responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Positive attention to detail.
- Able to follow instructions and household routines.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the family and household at all times.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and professional conduct while working in the home.

General Expectations

The Housekeeper & Cook is expected to treat the home and its belongings with care, maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, and communicate promptly regarding groceries, household supplies, maintenance concerns, or any other issues requiring the employer's attention.

Specific duties, working hours, days off, meal preferences, and household routines will be discussed and agreed upon with the employer.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
