We are currently seeking Parts and Service Writer to join our team at D&W; Forwarders Inc. in Hawkesbury, ON. The primary function of this role is to ensure that parts and supplies required for fleet maintenance and repairs are readily available to support shop operations. The Service Writer is also responsible for accurately recording service information and maintaining complete and up-to-date repair histories for all company assets.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE FOCUSING ON:

- Actively support shop safety by confirming proper parts usage, safe repair practices, and timely reporting of any safety issues or hazards
- Manage vehicle parts inventory and shop supplies to ensure availability and cost control.
- Scheduling and coordinating regular maintenance including preventive maintenance services
- Maintaining accurate, up to date service, repair, and maintenance records.
- Provide daily summaries of outstanding repairs to shop supervisors.
- Monitoring work in progress, including warranty repairs, to ensure quality standards, productivity targets and deadlines are met.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

- High school diploma required; post secondary training or hands-on experience in automotive or heavy-duty repair is an asset.
- Working knowledge of truck and trailer components and basic mechanical systems




- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work will in a team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual (French) is an asset but not required.
