When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada. Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.

Description

The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.

This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.

Tasks for this role include:

- Must be 19+
- Should be able to lift at least 10 lbs- some lifting of t-shirt boxes required
- Welcoming participants picking up t-shirts on Run Day
- Distribute t-shirts by colour and size
- Answer questions about Run Day with a friendly attitude
- Provide warm, detail-oriented customer service

you are helping us ensure we can continue to fund ground-breaking breast cancer research and clinical trials. Thanks to these investments in research and clinical trials, approximately 90% of women will survive at least 5 years after a breast cancer diagnosis.
